In June 2015, when Elon Musk announced a contest for a new mode of travel, the HYPERLOOP POD, we decided to accept his challenge. We were aware that we were attempting the impossible. One thousand two hundred teams from all over the world entered the competition. Many of them could count on support from sponsors and wealthy universities. We could only count on our own ideas and enthusiasm to come up with innovative solutions. Hyper Poland’s participation in this competition ended with a trip to the U.S. and a presentation of our project at the Hyperloop Design Weekend in Texas, where it won high praise as one of the most comprehensive and innovative. Our next challenge was to design passenger pods, freight pods, and a vacuum tube with three stations on the Hyperloop route from Dubai to Fujairah, all in 48 hours. We invited experts from Chicago and Dubai, and together we won the BIM for Innovation Award. Our next goal is to build a prototype of the pod.
Hyperloop is a new means of transport that allows people or goods to move at very high speeds based on the concept of sustainable transport. Think of it as a cross between a train and an airplane. It will enable travel between Krakow and Gdansk in 35 minutes, traveling near the speed of sound. The pod moves in a special tube, in which air pressure is as low as it is at an altitude of 10 km, which greatly reduces air resistance. It travels without contact with the tunnel using magnetic levitation and air bearings. Hyperloop is not science fiction. Traveling is a necessity and an essential element of life, and travel modes are becoming increasingly complex and personalized. We spend an increasing amount of time moving around and thanks to the Hyperloop we can become more efficient in the use of our most precious commodity - time.

A PASSION FOR DESIGN CONNECTED US
The founders of Hyper Poland originate from the Warsaw University of Technology. In the Department of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology, under the supervision of prof. Janusz Piechna and in cooperation with Wroclaw University of Technology, the first concept of the vehicle and Hyper Poland entered the second stage of the challenge - the Hyperloop Pod Competition. In 2016, experts from other industries joined the team and now more than 30 people are involved in the project. We also cooperate with domestic and foreign design companies. Our team, composed of professionals from many fields, is ready to take on the project of building a complex Hyperloop infrastructure in Poland.

24. marca 2017 roku rozpoczęliśmy zbiórkę crowdfundingową pt. „HYPER POLAND – JEDŹ Z NAMI Z PRĘDKOŚCIĄ DŹWIĘKU!” Jej celem jest sfinansowanie budowy pierwszego polskiego prototypu kapsuły Hyperloop.
